Online meeting of the delegation led by Kashkadarya province deputy governor Utkir Kadirov was organized with Valery Yashin, the director of of Doppelmayr for CIS and Central Asian Austria with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of construction of modern suspension roads in mountainous areas of Kitab district of Kashkadarya province, construction of tourism facilities around it and increase of tourism potential of the area.
Negotiations were held between the parties on the construction of a 1,500-meter modern cable car, rising to a height of 1,000 meters from the starting point, with a throughput of 800 tourists per hour, operating in summer and winter seasons. The issue of attracting preferential loans from Austrian financial institutions for financing the project was considered.
At the end of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the development of the initial feasibility study of the project and the organization of Doppelmayr executives’ trip to Uzbekistan.
