Remote customs control system has been launched at the departures terminal of Tashkent International Airport, the Uzbekistan Airports reported.
The report says that the technology allows customs control of passengers and their luggage "without the direct participation of inspectors through surveillance cameras and analysis of information about flights."
“CCTV cameras installed around the entire perimeter of the airport terminal allow customs authorities to monitor the situation remotely in real time and respond only to individual passengers,” the message says.
The company assures that the innovation enables those departing to pass the customs border faster.
