Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states will be held in Tashkent On July 28-29, Dunyo reported.
Reportedly, the meeting is one of the most important events of Uzbekistan's chairmanship of the SCO. The event will be attended by heads of foreign ministries of the SCO member states, as well as the Secretary General of the SCO and the director of the RATS executive committee.
The parties are expected to focus on preparations for the meeting of the SCO Summit in Samarkand on September 15-16, 2022. A significant set of documents is expected to be approved for the summit.
Among them are the comprehensive plan for the implementation of the agreement on long-term good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation developed on the initiative of the Uzbek side, the concept of cooperation on the development of interdependence and the creation of efficient transport corridors, programs to promote industrial cooperation between business circles, and the Regulation on the honorary "SCO Goodwill Ambassador.
Applications for SCO member state, observer state and SCO dialogue partner status will be considered. The ministers will also discuss the current state of cooperation in various areas of SCO’s activity and the prospects for its development and expansion of institutional relations with international partners.
In addition, exchange of views on current issues of regional and global agenda was included in the agenda of the ministerial meeting.
