Resident of Buloqboshi district of Andijan province, A.I., has been giving private religious lessons Since 2020 to children from Uzbekistan and neighboring Kyrgyzstan at home “without the appropriate religious knowledge and permits,” the provincial police department reported.
Operation carried out by the Department for Combating Terrorism and Religious Extremism of the Provincial police department, together with other law enforcement agencies, found that the man used physical force against minors.
The total number of the man's students was reported to be 27 children from the two countries.
An investigation is currently underway.
