One of the deputy mayors of Oqoltin district was detained while receiving $400 in a bribe from the head of a local enterprise in his office in an operation carried out by State Security Service officers of Sirdaryo province, the State Security Service reported.
It was established that the official intimidated this enterprise by creating obstacles for the sale of flour products at exchange auctions, would not provide benefits and would include it in the black list. He promised to patronize the enterprise in the future if he was given 500 dollars, for this he requested 1 million soums in advance.
A criminal case has been launched against the official under Taking a bribe, with investigation underway.
