Сholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyzstan will host the next Central Asia Summit on July 20-21. This was announced by Muratbek Azymbakiev, head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration of Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting will be attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
“The leaders will exchange views on the ways to enhance cooperation within the Central Asian states in a joint response to the challenges and threats to regional security, discuss the prospects for expanding cooperation in order to ensure sustainable economic growth of the states of the region, as well as issues of further strengthening the cultural and humanitarian interaction between the states of Central Asia,” said Azymbakiev.
It also became known that within the framework of the Summit, it is planned to sign documents aimed at strengthening friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation between the countries of the region.
