On July 7, Silk Way West Airlines, a private cargo airline, made its first charter-cargo flight on the Baku-Navoi-Hong Kong route, the Uzbekistan Airports said.
Reportedly, the Boeing 747-800 landed at Navoi International Airport at 12:48 local time and departed for Hong Kong a few hours later. According to tradition, the board was met with a water arch.
Silk Way Airlines is an Azerbaijani private cargo airline with head office and flight operations at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.
It provides freight services linking Europe and Asia, the United States and Africa, as well as services for government and non-government organizations.
In June of this year, SkyTaxi cargo airline began flying to Tashkent, which operates flights from China through Uzbekistan to Europe and back.
