At the international competition in Eğirdir(Turkey), Uzbek snipers took second place after the Turkey team, and was followed by Germany, Qatar and Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense said.
33 teams from 12 countries and 15 teams from Turkey itself participated in the international competition "The Best Sniper Team", featuring naval special forces, ground special forces and special operations units.
The competitions, which included daytime and nighttime practical classes, lasted 10 days. Shooting was carried out, from helicopter and boat.
Competitors were not allowed to use laser rangefinders. Snipers identified targets at a distance of 1000 meters or more using optical instruments and had to destroy them within a given time.
At night, the participants moved for six hours across the mountainous area along the magnetic azimuth, destroying the target at an indefinite distance.
