The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the amendments and addenda to some legislative acts due to the adoption of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Law.
According to Norma, the amendments and addenda to the Criminal Code are:
- Article 115-1 was supplemented, which provides for liability for forcing a person to consent to the removal of organs and (or) tissues from him/her for transplantation;
- Articles 133-1 and 133-2 were supplemented. In accordance with them, now criminal liability is imposed for the sale and purchase of human organs and (or) tissues and the export of transplanted human organs and (or) tissues from Uzbekistan.
