Uzbekistan sent a plane with 74 tons of humanitarian aid to neighboring Afghanistan, which was devastated by the earthquake and floods, the spokesman to the Foreign Ministry Yusup Kabulzhanov said.
According to him, the aid was formed upon the instruction of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The cargo included food, basic necessities and medicines.
More than 1,150 people died and more than 1,500 were injured in the Wednesday morning quake, according to the latest data.
