Deputy director of Samarkand Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid (RSCEMC) was detained while receiving 1,400 US dollars in bribe, the Department of the Prosecutor General's Office said.

Reportedly, the man, who concurrently worked as deputy director of RSCEMC promised a local resident that, with the help of his acquaintances, he would employ her in the 4th maternity complex of the Samarkand city. For his "service" he demanded 1,400 US dollars.

He was arrested while receiving a bribe. Law enforcement officers opened a case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
