The Kazakh authorities have decided to lift restrictions on crossing the land border with Uzbekistan. According to the press service of the government, given the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, the interdepartmental anti-coronavirus commission from April 11 this year decided to lift restrictions on the crossing of the state border of Kazakhstan by citizens of Kazakhstan, stateless persons and foreigners at land checkpoints with Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan.

Also, all restrictions on crossing the state border of Kazakhstan by air are to be also removed. Meanwhile, the requirement remains for the mandatory presentation of a certificate with a negative PCR test result vaccination or revaccination certificate for Kazakhs and foreigners who have a residence permit in Kazakhstan, and foreign citizens with mutual recognition of vaccination passports.

Earlier it was reported that passenger railway service between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was delayed for an indefinite period.
