On April 2, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Introduction of a system of mandatory digital labeling of medicines and medical devices Resolution, Norma.uz reported.
The document Resolution for the phased introduction in 2022-2025 of a system of mandatory digital marking by identification, taking into account groups of medicines (except for substances) and medical devices.
The following timeline for the start of mandatory digital marking and types of products by groups have been established:
- group I— drugs in secondary (outer) packaging (except for orphan drugs) — from September 1, 2022;
- group II - medicines in the primary (inner) packaging and angro-preparations (except orphan) - from November 1, 2022;
- group III - orphan drugs (for the treatment of rare diseases) - from January 1, 2023;
- group IV - imported medicines included in a special list - from February 1, 2025.
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers also approved:
- list of identification codes of medicines and medical devices with mandatory digital marking;
- schedule for phased implementation of the mandatory digital labeling system by domestic manufacturers of medicines and medical devices;
- schedule for phased implementation of the mandatory digital labeling system by foreign manufacturers of medicines and medical devices;
- schedule for phased transition of wholesale and retail trade organizations to the system of mandatory digital labeling of medicines and medical devices;
- schedule for phased transition of medical organizations in the healthcare sector to a system of mandatory digital labeling of medicines and medical devices;
- Regulation on procedure for digital marking of medicines and medical devices by identification.
The process has been entrusted to the National Information System for Monitoring Labeling and Traceability of Products Asl belgisi. The system operator in 2020 was CRPT Turon, created by the Russian Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), the single operator of the goods labeling system in Russia, whose shareholder is Alisher Usmanov's USM Holding.
