According to provisional information, in Deyres village, Aksy district, Jalal-Abad province, several citizens of Kyrgyzstan tried to illegally smuggle cargo on horseback into Uzbekistan.

“During the detention of civilians, a scuffle ensued. The rest of the perpetrators managed to escape on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the border guards of Uzbekistan, the citizens of Kyrgyzstan tried to smuggle a contraband cargo worth more than 20 thousand US dollars.
As it turned out later, the dead citizens came from Uzbekistan, but in 2012 they obtained citizenship of Kyrgyzstan. According to preliminary information, they kept their Uzbek passports with them.
On the same day at 17.55, a meeting was held between the border officials of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, who went to the scene of the incident to study the circumstances of the incident.
