On April 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the presidential press service said.
The two leaders exchanged sincere congratulations on the start of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing the fraternal peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan well-being and prosperity.
They considered the progress the agreements reached at the highest level, focused on increasing the volume of two-way trade, promoting joint projects of industrial cooperation, and continuing active exchanges within the framework of the cultural and humanitarian program.
The leaders exchanged views on topical aspects of regional cooperation, including the preparation and holding of the SCO summit in Uzbekistan in September this year.
