Uzbekistan and Turkey signed an Expanded Military Cooperation Agreement, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Agreement was signed by the Defense Ministers of the two countries - Bahodir Kurbanov and his counterpart Hulusi Akar.

“Another potential area is the defense industry. The agreements signed today also agreed to further develop the defense system, the press service of the Uzbek Defense Ministry quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as saying.

The Turkish leader said that the two countries had agreed to further develop their defense system.
