On March 23, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to the presidential press service, the parties considered practical aspects of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the provinces of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.
The counterparts reportedly commended first significant outcomes of the development of partnerships and cooperation between the leading enterprises of the two countries in accordance with the previously reached agreements and the growing mutual trade, the number of investment projects being implemented.
The parties focused on the further promotion of projects in the field of industrial cooperation, information technology, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals and tourism.
In addition, an agreement was reached to continue active contacts at different levels and joint work based on the road map.
On March 22, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On March 23, in the Tashkent province, the PM Abdulla Aripov and Rustam Minnikhanov attedned the launching of the Chirchik technopark project.
Rustam Minnikhanov also met with representatives of the Tatar diaspora in Uzbekistan.
