On March 21, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with the Russian President Vladimir Putin over the telephone, the presidential press service said.
Reportedly, at the beginning of the conversation, the Russian president congratulated the head of state and the people of Uzbekistan on the holiday of Navruz, sincerely wishing well-being and prosperity.
“The two leaders exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The parties commended that in recent years, Uzbek-Russian cooperation has reached an unprecedented high level of strategic partnership and alliance,” the statement noted.
In addition, the parties discussed prospects for further development and strengthening of multifaceted bilateral cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, industrial cooperation, including with the involvement of leading enterprises from the provinces of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The leaders underscored importance of continuing intensive contacts and coordinated work of the ministries and departments of the two countries aimed at the full implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level and exchanged views on the regional and international agenda, including the current situation around Ukraine.
