Bus service between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is to be resumed in strict accordance with lockdown restrictions, the Uzbek Ministry of Transport said.

Reportedly, the first Almaty to Tashkent service was launched yesterday. The bus left Almaty, Kazakhstan and arrived at the Tashkent bus station at 14:00.

The first Tashkent to Almaty service is also planned by Uzbek carriers. Additional dates for ticket sales and fares will be announced.

At the initial stage, it is planned to operate services between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan along the Tashkent to Nursultan, Tashkent to Almaty, Tashkent to Kyzylorda, Tashkent to Turkestan, Tashkent to Irgeli, Chirchik to Shymkent, Chirchik to Almaty routes.

As reported earlier, bus service with Kazakhstan was resumed and negotiations were underway on resuming services with Russia.
