S.D., 48, residing in Samarkand province called law enforcement agencies about the illegal actions of citizen D.A., who promised him and two other citizens U.N. and D.F. to organize a transfer to the United States via Mexico in return of a fee, the press service of the Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Reportedly, D.A. demanded 60,000 dollars for his service, 20,000 from each.
In the course of an operation on January 24, employees of the Samarkand Province Police Department and the State Security Service, citizen D.A. was detained near the Zilol Bakht hotel in Samarkand while receiving 60 thousand dollars from S.D.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under paragraph “a” of part 4 of article 168 of the Criminal Code (fraud), with investigation underway.
