Starting from January 25, the requirement for mandatory express coronavirus test at international airports, railway stations and border points has been cancelled, the Ministry of Health said.

However, passengers arriving in Uzbekistan must provide a negative PCR test result, provided no later than 48 hours before check-in for a plane or train.

Earlier, the State Customs Committee, together with the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare, had launched express testing in the arrivals halls of all international airports from January 15in Uzbekistan, with all arriving citizens having to undergo express coronavirus testing.

The test price was 5 US dollars in soum equivalent at the rate of the Central Bank. Students with a student ID card had a 50% discount. Children under the age of two do not need to be tested for coronavirus.
