On Tuesday, 604 new coronavirus cases were detected in Uzbekistan, which is by 179 more than the previous day (425). The press service of the Ministry of Health said: "The situation is becoming alarming."
The total number of cases officially confirmed since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 exceeded 201 thousand, reaching 201,759.
Most of the new cases on January 11 were detected in Tashkent - 331 (108 more than on January 10), Tashkent province - 97, Samarkand province - 42 and Jizzakh province - 41.
During the day, there were also 4 deaths from complications caused by COVID-19. The total number of officially registered deaths reached 1,505.
