On January 10, 2022, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with the Turkmen Deputy PM/Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the counterparts discussed the current state of the Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership ties and the ways to advance the comprehensive relations, and focused on the implementation of previously reached agreements between the two leaders.
A government delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Deputy Prime Minister is expected to visit Uzbekistan in the near future to discuss issues of further deepening bilateral cooperation in trade and economic spheres.
The parties underscored that the visit will also help to launch projects in various fields.
