UzAssets Investment company under the State Asset Management Agency announced its plan to sell the Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel through a tender.

The consultant on the sale of 100% of the stake currently owned by the Tashkent mayor’s office is KPMG.

The official invitation to send bid will be published separately. The process will be open to all interested parties.

About Hotel

The Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel was opened in 2016 in Tashkent and became the first hotel of the Hyatt chain in Uzbekistan. This is the only five-star hotel in Uzbekistan directly managed by an international hotel chain.

The total land area is 3.1 hectares, the area of ​​buildings and structures is 60.1 thousand square meters. m.

The hotel is located on 8 floors with 300 rooms, including 248 standard and 52 junior and suite rooms. It houses several conference rooms of various capacities, as well as a banquet hall with an area of ​​850 sq. m, indoor pool and SPA center.

By the July 30 presidential decree, Hyatt Regency Tashkent was supposed to be put up for sale in September. It was planned to privatize the hotel through $ 110 million from the investment fund the Abu Dhabi Uzbek Fund.

The hotel is owned by the State Unitary Enterprise "Poytakht Qurilish va Khizmat". The construction of Hyatt Regency Tashkent cost $ 205 million, including a loan from the Xalq Bank of 100 billion soums from the accumulative pension system, provided for 7 years (with a grace period of 1 year, with an interest rate of 9% per annum). The loan agreement between Xalq Bank and Poytakht Qurilish Va Khizmat was, as an exception, entered into without applying the Central Bank standards.
