President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Measures to boost the development of Uzbekistan’s food industry and provide the population with high-quality food products Decree.
According to the Decree, the holding company Uzbekoziqovqatholding is being liquidated. To this end, a liquidation commission is to be formed.
The Main Department for the Development of the Food Industry was established within the central office of the Ministry of Agriculture, in place of the Department for Processing Agricultural Products and Development of Infrastructure.
Uzbekoziqovqatholding was established in place of the Association of Food Industry Enterprises in spring 2016. The plans to liquidate the holding became known in 2018.
