The adviser to the Prime Minister in charge of industrial development and cooperation ties Botir Khojaev retired from politics. The decree was signed by the PM Aripov, a source in the government told the Tashkent Times.
Botir Khojaev, 64, had served as the PM’s adviser since February. Earlier, he (since November 2017) was the Minister of Economy.
He graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers (1979).
In 2011–2016 he was First Deputy Minister of Economy, in 2009–2011 - Deputy Prime Minister/Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction, in 2006–2009 –– Minister of Economy, in 2005–2006 –– State Advisor to the President on social-economic issues.
