The deputies of the Legislative Chamber today backed the candidacy of Sardor Umurzakov for the post of Deputy prime minister in charge of investment and foreign economic relations/ Minister of investments and foreign trade.
Sardor Umurzakov, 43, is a graduate of the Tashkent University of Economy and the University of Reading. Since January 2019, he had served as the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.
After backing by MPs the decree on his appointment must be signed by the president.
