Suma Chakrabarti, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on March 4-5, the bank’s Tashkent office said.
During the visit, the EBRD president will meet with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Minister of Finance Timur Ishmetov, and will also familiarize himself with the bank’s projects in the Ferghana Valley.
Earlier, the EBRD marked a new record in Uzbekistan in 2019, by investing US$ 576 million in 13 private and public sectors projects .
To date, the EBRD has invested 1.85 billion euros in 79 projects in Uzbekistan.
