Hans Kluge, the new director of the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for Europe, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on February 11–12, the WHO country office said.
As part of the visit, the Uzbek Ministry of Health and the WHO European Bureau will sign a biennial cooperation agreement for 2020-2021.
Hans Kluge was elected head of the WHO European Bureau in September last year. He assumed his duties in early February, succeeding Zsuzsanna Jakab post.
WHO/Europe is one of the organization’s six regional offices and includes 53 countries, including Uzbekistan.
