The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Akasaka residence in Tokyo met with the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Shinichi Kitaoka, the presidential press service said.
The parties agreed on a new long-term cooperation projects worth of over US$ 3.5 billion, including projects in the field of energy, modernization of industry and agriculture, infrastructure, environment, healthcare and other sectors, supporting SME projects, as well as expanding educational exchange. Now the portfolio of joint projects is over $ 4 billion.
A road map will be developed for prompt and quality implementation of each cooperation project between Uzbekistan and JICA.
