The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will pay a working visit to Uzbekistan in late November, the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan said in a statement.

Reportedly, the main item of the of Minnikhanov's Uzbekistan visit program will be the participation in the business forum, with bilateral accords expected to be signed following the event.

Minnikhanov is also scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and the heads of several ministries and departments.

Currently, there are several valid cooperation agreements between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. In 2018, the two-way trade value between the two countries reached US$ 146 million, increasing by 57%. The projects of Tatarstan's KamAZ, TAIF, KMPO, Pozis, Tatneft and others are being implemented in Uzbekistan.

In February, the Uzbekistan Minister of Transport Ochilboy Ramatov said at a meeting with the President of Tatarstan in Kazan that Uzbekistan intends to increase trade value with Tatarstan by 80% this year.
