On November 13, 2019, in Paris, the Deputy Foreign Minister Dilshod Akhatov met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, François Delatre.
Also, the Uzbekistan and French delegations held the 11th round of political consultations, where the French delegation was headed by the director of the Department of Continental Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Frédéric Mondoloni.
The parties noted that Uzbekistan and France see each other as important and long-term partners and emphasized their mutual readiness to step up multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation and discussed the possibilities of deepening the political dialogue and inter-parliamentary relations, intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and strengthening the legal framework.
Also the parties expressed mutual interest in enhancing cooperation in the field of high technology, aeronautics, tourism and inter-university cooperation.
An agreement was reached on organizing the next round of political consultations in Tashkent in 2020.
