The Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan and the Valdai Club Foundation signed a Cooperation Agreement in Samarkand on Sunday, Kun.uz said.

The document was reportedly signed by the ISMI Director Eldor Aripov and the Chairman of the Board of the Valdai Club Foundation Andrei Bystritsky.

The parties, in particular, expressed intentions to collaborate on the formation of the bilateral agenda, objective assessment of global political and economic processes and strengthening ties between the intellectual elite of Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as Central Asia as a whole.

The agreement provides for the achievement of these goals through expert meetings, forums, conferences, publication of joint research and exchange of expert visits.

Exchange of information on international relations, global politics, economics, security, energy, sociology, communications may reportedly serve for the effective dialogue between the parties.
