The Chinese President, Xi Jinping will visit Uzbekistan next year. This became known following the talks between the governments delegations of the two countries in Tashkent on the margins of the SCO Heads of Governments Council meeting.

As part of the meeting, the Uzbek officlas offered Chinese partners inviteation to attend the International Investment Forum on March 4-6, 2020 in Tashkent. In addition, a proposal was made hold the First Uzbek-Chinese Interprovinces Forum as part of the visit of President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping to Uzbekistan scheduled for 2020.

Also the delegations signed deals on cooperation in the trade, economics, investment, banks and finance, transport and communications, agricultural exports, technical cooperation fields.

China is Uzbekistan’s biggest trade and economic partner. To date, the volume of investments in the Uzbek economy by Chinese companies surpassed US$ 9 billion. While, in 9 months of this year, the two-way trade topped US$ 5.9 billion, increasing by 33 percent, with the objective set to increase bilateral trade up to US$ 10 billion in 2020.
