Today, on October 22, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation of the state of Gujarat of India, headed by the chief minister of the state of Vijay Rupani.
Warmly welcoming the guests, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the dynamic development of multifaceted cooperation, enhanced friendship and strategic partnership ties between Uzbekistan and India.
In turn, Vijay Rupani expressed deep gratitude to the Uzbek leader for the warm welcome and conveyed sincere greetings and the best wishes of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
The distinguished guest noted that the meetings and negotiations within the framework of the present visit of the Gujarat state delegation, held in Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent, were aimed primarily at facilitating the full-scale implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in such areas as biotechnology and agricultural clusters, the textile and pharmaceutical industries, the production of auto components and cosmetics, the construction and management of hotel infrastructure, as well as in other areas.
An agreement was reached on prompt development of a “road map” to promote the effective partnership of Uzbekistan with leading companies and organizations of Gujarat.
At the end of the meeting, Vijay Rupani reiterated his readiness to contribute in every possible way to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and strengthen the friendship of our peoples.
