The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS), Baghdad Amreev will be visiting Uzbekistan from October 3 to 6, the Foreign Ministry said.

The Secretary General will hold meetings in the ministries of foreign affairs, investment and foreign trade and the Chamber of Commerce. He will also attend the meeting of the CCTS business council and the investment business forum featuring the business executives from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

In mid-September, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ratified the Nakhichevan Agreement on the establishment of a Cooperation Council for Turkic-speaking states, becoming a full member of the CCTS.

In September last year, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as an honored guest, attended the meeting of the CCTS in the Kyrgyz Cholpan-Ata.

Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States is an intergovernmental organization established in 2009 in Azerbaijan's Nakhichevan. The purpose of the council is to promote comprehensive cooperation between the Turkic states. The members of the Council, headquartered in Istanbul, are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
