On September 20, a meeting was held in the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan with a Russian government delegation led by First Deputy PM/ Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov.
The sides discussed the implementation progress of the deals inked during the state visits of the two heads of state and other summit talkss, as well as the necessary measures for their prompt and full implementation.
The preparations for the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia in the early 2020 were also touched upon, with the steps being taken to prepare a package of bilateral accords for signing, including strategic investment projects.
The sides also exchanged views on the ways to deepen cooperation in the most important areas, including in the framework of establishing cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union.
The parties noted a high level of relations based on the principles of mutual benefit and trust, as well as the existing significant potential for their further expansion.
