Physicians working in the medical institutions under the Ministry of Health will be subject to mandatory examination for conformity to their position. This is stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolutions dated January 21, Norma.uz reports.
The document (not applicable to executives, to whom another procedure is applied) stipulates that the examination shall be conducted once every five years, within three months after the expiration of three years of employment in the relevant position.
The newly employed physicians after completion of undergraduate, graduate, medical residency or primary specialization courses, are subject to examination no later than within three months after the expiration of three years of employemnt in the relevant position.
Those who fail to show up to the examination without valid reason will be issued a warning. The decision of non-conformity to their position may be taken in case of second unexcused no-show.
The document states that this Resolution is aimed at improving the quality of medical services and so that the medical institutions are staffed with highly qualified specialists with sufficient theoretical and practical skills.
The Resolution also stipulates that the quota for admission to higher medical educational institutions will be determined in accordance with the demand for personnel on the basis of proposals from health institutions.
