The Senate Chairman Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenev and discussed the ways to further strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation, including within the framework of international parliamentary bodies.
The parties noted that the political will of the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Russia serve as the basis for strengthening and developing bilateral ties, and the enhanced role of parliaments in stepping up the dialogue between countries.
The sides discussed the organization of the visit of the delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly headed by Valentina Matvienko to Uzbekistan in the autumn.
