A group of Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadets are currently visiting Uzbekistan. As part of their visit they visited military education institutions and have been exchanging experience with their Uzbek peers.

American cadets attended the conference held at the Academy of Armed Forces and also visited the ICT and Liaison Military Institute and Chirchik High Tank Command-Engineering School under the Defense Ministry. The cadets familiarized themselves with the educational process and the facilities created for their Uzbek peers. These events above all served as a platform for exchange of views, open and friendly exchanges between the two countries' youth.

American cadets also had the opportunity along with the Uzbek cadets to cook the Uzbek national dish - palov.

"To be honest, I have great impressions. First of all, I am impressed by the knowledge, skills and politeness of the Uzbek cadets, and also by Uzbekistan’s culture and history, " said Julissa Rojas of Florida University.

It should be noted that a JROTC cadets are expected to exchange experiences with Uzbek cadets for three weeks through military, cultural events, theoretical and practical exercises.

The cadets also watched the Uzbek cadets conduct exercises at training grounds and exchanged views.
