The Prosecutor General’s Office reported the detention of four men suspected of deliberately killing five family members in the Samarkand province. According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, these are the four jobless G. T., 38, J. U., 26, S. E., 24 and H. N., 23, who live in the same neighbourhood as their victims.
As reported earlier in the afternoon of May 15, a Damas minivan with the bodies of a man, a woman and their three sons was discovered in Kushrabat district.
On the night of May 15, the gang broke into the A. Kh .’s house and struck in the heads and faces of sleeping family with metal objects they had brought.
The men stole 22 million soums, or US$ 2,600 and a Samsung Galaxy A8 and to conceal the crime, loaded the bodies into the owner's minivan and drove them to a village in Bokichigata.
The four gang members’ confessions, crime tools, the cash, the cell phone, and other evidence confirm that they have committed the crimes.
A criminal case has been initiated under of Article 97 of the Criminal Code a) premeditated murder with aggravating circumstances, that is, of two or more persons, b) who were obviously helpless in front of the perpetrators), g) committed with particular cruelty, i) for personal gain and p) by a group of persons. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
