Draft joint decree has been published on the portal for assessing the impact of legal norms, which proposes to scrap the List of jobs with unfavorable working conditions, where women are only partly, or not allowed to work at all.
The draft was developed by the Ministry of Employment and the Ministry of Health. The draft states that the document is being developed in pursuance with the President’s Measures to Further Strengthen the Guarantees of Labor Rights and Support for women's entrepreneurial Activities Decree.
This List was approved by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health in December 1999. The list of jobs banned for women includes 44 items, in the oil and gas, ferrous metallurgy, construction, installation and mining sectors. The List also includes such jobs as diver, driller, loader, pipe crimper, steelmaker, stonemason and others.
Instead, Shavkat Mirziyoev instructed to create a recommendation list of industries or professions that may adversely affect the women’s health, but not prohibits them.
