Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today hosted a French delegation led by the Secretary of State to the Minister for European and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and the co-chair of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
A Protocol of Intent aimed at strengthening cooperation in higher education, research, innovation and special education was signed following the meeting.
The Agreement on Exchanges and Legal Cooperation and the Letter of Intent on Cooperation in the field of Public Finance were also signed.
The parties discussed the schedule of upcoming Uzbek-French events for this year, including holding political consultations. In addition, they addressed international and regional issues and those related to facilitating the peace process in Afghanistan.
