Chief staff talks were held in Yerevan as part of preparation of a Ararat-Antiterror-2019 joint drill by the relevant authorities of the CIS member states, the CIS anti-terrorism center reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the plan and order of the drill, the composition of the united command and forces, and the timetable of its main stages.
They also exchanged views on the operational situation at the borders of the CIS member states and on the current threats due to the shift in tactics of international terrorist organizations.
The joint anti-terrorist drill will be held on the territory of seven CIS countries. Its two final stages will take place in September in Armenia.
Security bodies and special services of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan confirmed their participation.
