The defense ministers of the CIS member states will hold a meeting in Moscow on May 5, the Chairman of the Executive Committee/CIS Executive Secretary, Sergey Lebedev after the meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council.
He added that in the near future a number of events under the auspices of the CIS, including a meeting of heads of government would take place. “On May 31, the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council will take place in Ashgabat. A meeting of the chiefs of special services will be held in Dushanbe in mid-May, Lebedev said. “Literally within two weeks, the spring session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly will take place, and a delegation of the Uzbek Parliament will attend it.”
Among other events, he noted the forum of scientific intelligentsia and artists is scheduled to be held on May 15-16 in Ashgabat.
