Pavel Ergashev, the First Deputy Minister of Defense/Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan hosted a Russian delegation headed by Alexander Lapin, commander of the Central Military District.
The parties discussed the ways to advance Uzbek-Russian cooperation in the field of defense and the strengthening of mutually beneficial ties in the military-education.
Pavel Ergashev expressed his gratitude to the Command of the Central Military District of Russia for their help to enhance the combat readiness of the Uzbek troops.
Alexander Lapin said that Uzbekistan is Russia’s strategic partner and a guarantor of security in the Central Asian region.
The commander of the Central Military District held a lecture for the personnel of the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and briefing on the combat experience of the Russian army in the Middle East.
