President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, according to the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
The heads of state reportedly exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the upcoming New Year, and discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda, including the implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan in October 2018.
“The parties confirmed their intention to further strengthen the strategic partnership ties and enhance bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other spheres,” the statement concluded.
