Uzbekistan delegation headed by the Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev today held talks with the Special Representative of the British Prime Minister for Afghanistan and Pakistan in London, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The parties expressed reciprocal intention in implementing joint infrastructure, cultural, humanitarian and education projects in Afghanistan.
Gareth Bailey reportedly commended Uzbekistan's initiatives aimed at promoting the peace process with the participation of the Taliban movement, as well as intra-Afghan political forces.
The parties also focused on enhancing cooperation in pursuance of the Tashkent Declaration adopted on March 27 at the international conference on Afghanistan.
