The visit of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Brussels will take place once the parties complete the negotiations on the basic documents of bilateral and regional cooperation, said the Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov following the meeting of the Uzbekistan-EU Cooperation Council in Brussels.
“The issue of the visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev is on the table. I think the visit will take place,” said the Uzbek foreign minister during a press conference.
Abdulaziz Kamilov added that the main issues of talks with the European senior officials during the visit of the Uzbek President will be the regional security, the fight against terrorism and prevention of the radicalization of the youth.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to meet with Belgium national officials to discuss bilateral ties.
“We are now working on preparing a rich, concrete agenda for the President’s visit to Brussels,” he said.
