Lieutenant Ilkhomjon Khaidarov, officer at Andijan province Izboskan district police department, died after being beaten by people in the street, the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The incident occurred last night at about 01:30 am while Khaidarov, 29, was on duty together with his colleague. They asked for IDs from seven men in the street. The police officers showed their badges and asked the men to show IDs, but A.J. refused to compl and tried to resist and then called his brother S.A. to the place and his nephew Z.K. and beat the two officers. The first one received bodily injuries and was hospitalized, Khaidarov died on the spot.
Criminal case has now been opened against A.E., S.A. and Z.K. under Intentional murder under aggravating circumstances, that is, a person on duty, out of hooliganism, by a group of persons or a member of an organized group or in its interests of the Criminal Code.
The suspects are arrested.
